When we first discovered the wonders and delights of citrus that were indigenous to the land we belong to—we simply couldn’t resist. Will Elger grew up in Mexico and was always around great tequila because his father was a hotelier and was a connoisseur of quality tequila. The name “Hermosa” came from a special bottle which had been gifted to his father. Tequila became a lifelong pursuit for Will and he started his own brand called Muchote with a Reposado, which was quite well regarded in Tequila Circles. Today’s production is certified organically grown and is a winner of multiple Gold Medals. Finally It comes to California. Hermosa Organic Tequila is a 1939 brand resurrected in limited edition small batches, a certified organic, single-estate tequila crafted from fully mature agave. Each harvest captures the organic terroir, shaped by soil, climate, and geography. Mexican owned, sustainable, authentic tequila, made the traditional way, as it was nearly a century ago.
