In 1935, Adolfo Basso, together with his brother Tulio, purchased the “Santa Ana” winery, eventually turning it into one of Argentina’s largest bodegas. Seeking to simplify their lives and once again become involved in small production winemaking, the family sold “Santa Ana” in 1996. Using the profits from this sale, the Basso’s purchased and remodeled a small winery in Carrodilla, Mendoza the following year. The winery is 100% estate, with two vineyards in Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Carlos and his son Adolfo run the day-to-day operations of the winery.

Fincas Don Martino is a creation of famed agronomist Mauricio Parodi and Buenos Aires businessman Hugo Martino. The vines, planted in 1926, are un-grafted Malbec clones originally brought to Argentina from France. As production is limited by the small size of the vineyard, both wines have become “cult” items in their native Mendoza. Both wines are produced organically, fermented with native yeast, and bottled un-refined and unfiltered.

Uruguay’s most critically acclaimed producer is a small winery located in the outskirts of Montevideo, Uruguay’s capital. Because both of Bouza’s vineyards are located very close to the sea, there is a considerable limestone presence in the soil. While they embrace modern techniques (cropping for low yields; gravity flow winemaking; the use of temperature control; stainless steel fermentors and tanks; high grade French and American Oak), their wines scream typicity, showcasing the region’s fascinating character. The history of the Antech has been written over the centuries as an adventure of mankind, a testament to the passion of the men and women who have created it. In the beginning of the Twentieth Century, Eugénie Limouzy became one of the first women in Languedoc to manage a vineyard, and to strive towards a qualitative method of cultivation. In 1931, Eugénie’s niece Marguerite married fellow vintner Edmond Antech, a brilliant and upright man of exacting method who took the Estate’s destiny in hand and made it widely and commercially known. His sons Georges and Roger succeeded him and kept the same philosophy of preserving history and melding tradition and modernity to craft exceptional wines.

Wines with Soul. Our wine is land. Our wine is history and, above all, our wine is the essence of the centennial Grenache that has been cultivated since the twelfth century in the Madrid municipality of San Martín de Valdeiglesias (Madrid), and of the albillo real, an autochthonous variety that we continue to recover. Wines that move to their origin, to the payment and to the natural environment, without external makeup that distorts reality and that allow us to produce vegan wines of organic viticulture.

Our winery is strategically located northeast of the DO Mancha. This area with its own microclimate, wraps in a very special way the vineyards around the picturesque village of El Provencio, (Cuenca). The situation of the winery in the highest altitude area of the great plain of La Mancha provides ideal conditions for the production of great wines . Here the Tempranillo grape offers its best expression influenced by the Mediterranean-Continental climate and the limestone soils with a clay bottom. Our wines go through a triple selection process , in the vineyard, in the cellar reception and by tasting. Thanks to this we are able to offer the best product at its best.
